Meet Our Nurse Practitioners
Tracey Downs, MS, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner & Co-Owner
Tracey is a pediatric and primary care nurse practitioner and co-founder of Generations. A native of Rome, NY, she has been practicing since 2012—spending her first ten years in Family Practice in Barneveld, NY before specializing in Pediatrics, where she has found her passion. She is proud to support the families of the Rome community where she grew up.
Tracey believes that excellent primary care starts with strong relationships. She takes time to listen and explain the “why” behind each plan. Her own experience as a mother inspired her to pursue training as a Certified Lactation Counselor, allowing her to guide and support parents through the newborn stage.
Tracey earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from SUNY Geneseo, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rochester, and her Master of Science in Family Nurse Practice from SUNY IT.
In addition to patient care, Tracey has embraced the challenges and rewards of becoming a business owner, gaining experience in practice management and healthcare technology to help build Generations Family Health from the ground up.
When she’s not caring for patients, Tracey loves traveling and spending time with her husband, two children, and their golden retriever. She also enjoys fitness, skiing/snowboarding, and planning her next Disney trip.
Nicole Marchesani, MS, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner & Co-Owner
Nicole Marchesani is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and one of the three founding owners of Generations Family Health. Though trained to care for patients across the lifespan, Nicole currently focuses on adult primary care, delivering compassionate, personalized care with an emphasis on wellness, prevention, and chronic disease management.
Nicole brings a wealth of experience to the practice, having worked as a registered nurse for over 20 years—spending the majority of her RN career in surgical services. She then transitioned into advanced practice, spending five years as a nurse practitioner in a busy gastroenterology office. She also founded and operated her own concierge-style primary care practice, where she prioritized accessibility and long-term relationships with patients. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as a preceptor for MVCC RN students, mentoring future nurses with warmth and expertise.
Outside of work, Nicole is a proud mom and grandmother who loves shopping, cooking, and spending quality time with her family. Her commitment to both care and community helps define the welcoming, patient-first culture of Generations Family Health.
